Tanner Grogan (Senior, Physics Major) attended the APS March Meeting this year and presented his work titled “Towards Control of Ultracold Collisions Using Frequency-Chirped Laser Light”. Student co-authors on the project were James St. John (Junior), Kristen Oldja (Junior), and Tara Pena (Senior). The faculty adviser was Matt Wright.
Tanner’s presentation was selected by the conference as a winner of an “Outstanding Undergraduate Presentation Award”. The APS March meeting is widely known as the largest physics conference.
