Professor Matt Wright’s group at Adelphi University has a number of research projects, including lasers to control atomic collisions, studying how fruit flies interact with magnetic fields, and how students use video podcasts to improve their learning.

Kidan Tadesse, our groups newest superstar, built an intensity servo feedback circuit in a short time and tested it out with the lasers. She is nearly complete with her next circuit too, a lock-in detector. Go Kidan!

The Adelphi Physics Club Astronomy night was a success despite the clouds rolling in. We looked at the Moon and Jupiter. Unfortunately, it got cloudy so we weren’t able to see any deep sky objects.
